The Villamanez Hostel is a two-star hostel next to the Plaza de las Cortes and the Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid, one step away from the main museums, the Prado Museum, Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and the Reina Sofia Museum. Hostel in Madrid with large and light rooms. The rooms have window to the outside and all of them have complete bathroom, TV, telephone and security box. Some of the rooms have views over the garden of the Palais des Perinac, behind the house of Lope de Vega. It is a nice accommodation at very affordable prices, it is also well communicated by public transport. It is very close to the tourist areas

From the airport By underground, you have to change twice (three lines) go to Banco de Espana (several alternatives). Take down Paseo de la Castellana, once you reach Neptuno fountain on the right there are three streets, the one in the middle is San Agustin. (Price: single ticket 1,15€, ticket of 10, less than 6€). By Taxi, aproximately 20 minutes (depends on the traffic) its arround 25-30€. Take the highway N-II to Madrid, this will bring you to Avenida de America, continue straight on to Paseo de la Castellana, turn left until you reach Neptuno, turn right, there are three streets, the one in the middle is San Agustin. (See underground) From Atocha Train Station Walk up Paseo de la Castellana, once you reach Neptuno Fountain take the first on the left, there are three streets, the one in the middle is San Agustin.. (Price: single ticket 1,15€, ticket of 10, less than 6€). By Taxi drive up Paseo de la Castellana to Neptuno, turn lef in Neptuno, there are three streets, the one in the middle is San Agustin. We strongly recommend to use the underground in Madrid, it is the fastest way to reach the centre of Madrid as the traffic in Madrid is very dense during most of the day and it is common to get in the middle of a traffic jam.
